Large-scale Moscow's Strikes Eliminate Electricity Across Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities under attack in the region
The country's energy systems have come under escalating attacks in the past few days

During the night, Russian aerial assaults have led to blackouts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Several individuals were hurt while local people in the city's east were plunged into darkness and dealt with disruption to water supplies, as stated by municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a young boy was fatally injured in a different Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, as reported by area administrators.

Moscow has escalated assaults on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while officials has called for "substantial measures" from allies to increase pressure on Russia.

"The necessity is not window dressing but firm measures - from the US, the EU and the G7 - in supplying air defence systems and implementing restrictions," mentioned in a social media post.

Officials stated that 450 drones and over thirty rockets struck the country's power systems, characterizing such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

The energy minister said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were striving to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles struck electrical systems and residential structures in Kyiv.

Multiple people hurt in the strikes on the city have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by city authorities.

Local officials said the city endured intense attacks overnight. A young boy died and three other people were hurt.

The assaults succeed periods of air raids in the area, portions of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are tougher to identify.

Government officials told journalists that Moscow was intentionally trying to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already impacting gas facilities.

Officials stated technical personnel and authorities were anticipating additional strikes.
